The Homework Club is an after school learning programme targeting Pasifika children which started in late 2013. The club was created as a way to bring parents into the school to be a part of their children’s learning. The response has been extremely positive, and we now run the programme in Rooms 12 and 13 every Wednesday from 3pm to 4pm.
Children are invited to join the programme, and consent forms are signed by parents annually to enable them to participate. Three Kings School provides afternoon tea for the children and teachers voluntarily attend to support the children with their homework. Attendance is taken weekly. The roll is growing steadily and we now have children from other nationalities attending through requests from parents or suggestions from classroom teachers.
